Adam and Sarah visit the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh
One of Edinburgh’s best-positioned hotels, overlooking Edinburgh Castle and a 5-minute walk from the city centre. Becci O’Meara and Nathalie Vaira met with Adam and Sarah to show the best of what this award-winning hotel had to offer.
The hotel offers fantastic spaces as it holds 14 event spaces, allowing for flexibility on party size and room capacity (ranging from a boardroom for 9 guests, to their largest space holding 500 guests). Many of the rooms have natural daylight, which is a great find; it can become a long meeting without the sun shining through to brighten up your day.
The Edinburgh Suite is a great option for large scaled events when it comes to banquets, awards and dinner/dances. The pre-function space allows for your guests to mingle and enjoy an aperitif before entering the Edinburgh Suite for the main event. The adjacent smaller meeting rooms range from a wide range of sizes and capacities to accommodate different requirements.
The hotel has a private forecourt entrance, perfectly situated for events so your guests attending for business are able to access the event with relative ease whilst avoiding residents of the hotel. All 14-event spaces are brilliantly equipped with the highest of technologies meaning everything is on hand with an in-house technician to assist!
Another great feature of this 5-star hotel is their award-winning ‘One Spa’, constantly improving and finding new ways to become one of Edinburgh’s most luxurious fitness facilities – with state of the art equipment and 19m indoor swimming pool with poolside sauna. The indoor pool & poolside sauna are complimentary for hotel guests.
Indoor pool & poolside sauna are complimentary for hotel guests.- a great place to train whilst enjoying your stay at The Sheraton. Naming one of its best-known features to be the outdoor, (penthouse) rooftop Hydropool. There is a fee to use the Hydropool (it's part of Escape at One experience also including the Thermal Suite). Hotel guests have a preferential rate of £30 per person (Usual cost £70), and reservations are required. One spa is also accompanied by the vibrant One Square restaurant, which serves a stunning range of British cuisines and has an array of over 70 gins behind the bar, to be enjoyed.
Throughout this site visit it became very apparent that The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is all about quality, and ensuring that their guests have the best stay possible. We would highly recommend The Sheraton for events ranging from award evenings, long lunches and conferences, and they offer a service and experience your guests will certainly remember.
