Gilly's take on Hilary

Hilary is an ambitious, driven and level-headed individual - a true professional with an extremely considered and organised approach. She is a warm, detail driven and enthusiastic member of the YOURgb team.

Having begun her career in hospitality she took the leap into accountancy for a spell before heading back into the world of event management. With her experience, Hilary is phenomenal at budget management and event logistics. She is also creative and very well-travelled, as well as being fluent in Spanish and a great team player. 

Her calm demeanour, sense of fun and natural confidence ensures that our clients are always relaxed and at ease.

Hilary, why event management?

I am a very creative person, with great organisational skills and attention to detail. I love the buzz of the events industry and working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. I absolutely thrive on a challenge and seeing an idea come to fruition. 

What's it like working with you?

I am an enthusiastic team player who loves working and building relationships with people. I am extremely organised and hard-working, and I am excited to be joining the YOURgb team.

Where have you come from?

After growing up in Edinburgh, I did a degree in Business at Aberdeen University. I spent six months in Toronto before moving to Sydney for three years, where I was managing a restaurant and continuing my travels around Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. I moved back to Edinburgh and have worked in Accountancy for the past three years, before making the move to YOURgb. 

When you're not managing events?

If I’m not planning my next adventure, I’ll usually be found in the kitchen or out with friends and family!
